State and Federal laws require that all Wisconsin businesses producing RCRA hazardous waste (toxic, flammable, corrosive or reactive wastes) manage and dispose of their wastes properly. The Dane County Clean Sweep is able to accept hazardous wastes from Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG) assisting eligible farms and businesses in disposing of agricultural chemicals and hazardous waste in a convenient and cost-effective manner. Please note that electronics are not accepted from businesses.

Businesses generating large quantities of hazardous waste must hire a waste contractor to sort, package, and transport the waste to a licensed facility. This option proves very costly for generators of small quantities of waste. At Clean Sweep we are able to use our existing contracts to help businesses generating small quantities of hazardous waste (VSQGs) manage their wastes in a cost effective manner. Please note businesses MUST pay with Mastercard or Visa at drop off.
Under normal regulations, the procedures and paperwork for small businesses can be confusing and complicated. However, the Wisconsin DNR has designed a program to assist generators of small quantities of waste to effectively dispose of their hazardous materials in a simplified manner, which allows Dane County Clean Sweep, to waive manifest requirements and authorize us to accept waste from VSQG.
